Manifesting: A Powerful Skill Misunderstood
Manifestation is an incredibly powerful skill that has only recently surged in popularity. Yet, in its rise to prominence, many have begun teaching it in ways that miss the essence of its true power.
The first thing I want you to understand is that when you begin manifesting, you may feel isolatedâcaught in your own new reality, which may seem disconnected from the one you previously shared with others. This can create a certain hesitation, a fear even, to share your evolving perspective, especially when so many are still ensnared in the webs of negativity and limitation.
I know this feeling well. If you have ever found yourself asking someone for money, understand that, in doing so, you inadvertently cast yourself in the shadow of lack. From that moment forward, in their eyes, you may forever be seen as someone who is in need. The next time you bring up money or the notion of buying something, their response may be colored by this lens of scarcity: âAre you sure you have enough?â
This perception of lack was the very issue from the beginning. The reason you felt the need to ask for money in the first place was because you began entertaining the idea of insufficiency. Entertaining that thought inevitably led to its manifestation.
As you step into your new self, learn the art of quietude. Silence is your ally. Othersâ perceptions, opinions, and energy can interfere with your inner transformation. Your mental journey, the taming of your mind, requires solitude. You will face challenges, but these challenges do not need to be voiced or externalized. To speak of your negativity only breathes more life into it.
Iâve always had a natural inclination toward manifestation, maintaining a level of detachment that allowed things to flow into my life effortlessly. But today, during my meditation, I noticed where my thoughts were taking me. Everythingâeverythingâthat surfaced in my mind was from social media: images of P. Diddy, Mr. Prada, Lucas Coly. These were the remnants of what I had consumed over the past two days, relentlessly resurfacing.
This is why mindfulness of our mental diet is crucial. Iâve now become vigilant in monitoring my scrolling habits, choosing only to engage with content that educates. Entertainment, when unchecked, can become a poison, seeping into our thoughts and disrupting our clarity.
Ask yourself: would the version of you that you admire and aspire to be indulge in what you are doing now? Each day, write down more and more details about the ideal version of yourself. The clearer this vision becomes, the more easily it will crystallize into reality.
Lastly, be cautious of societyâs notions of âhard work.â Many are eager to impose their own rules onto your journey, projecting their limitations onto your realm. If hard work fits into the structure of their reality, it works for them. But understand this: if, in your world, hard work feels like a repellent to success or abundance, it may be a sign that you are encountering resistanceâpushing against the natural flow of your path.
In the end, the reality you create is governed by the rules you set.
